Chemical Defense of Weasels

Weasels can produce foul-smelling secretions as their chemical defense by which they can repel their enemies. Relatively-volatile sulfur-containing chemicals like 2,2-dimethylthietane and 3,3-dimethyl-1,2-dithiolane (derivatives of thietane and 1,2-dithiolane) are responsible for unpleasantness of weasel’s secretion.
