Famous Atomic Models and Their Associated Scientists

Atomic models have evolved step by step from Dalton model to Thomson model to Rutherford model to Bohr model to Schrodinger model. Each of these models has provided us with a more accurate picture of atomic nature of matter in comparison to what was thought beforehand. We owe these advances to ingenious scientists who also had many other achievements in their scientific career. John Dalton, Sir Joseph John Thomson, Ernest Rutherford, Niels Henrik David Bohr and Erwin Rudolf Josef Alexander Schrödinger, these are the names of famous scientists that always shine in history of atomic models. One also should note that there are other great scientists like Albert Einstein, Max Planck and Werner Heisenberg, just to mention a few, who maybe didn’t suggest new popular atomic models but definitely have contributed to advancement of our knowledge about atoms.
